INTERNATIONAL MEDIA CENTER (IMC)
The International Media Center (IMC) will be located at the upper ground floor of the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) where some of the meetings will take place.
The IMC will begin operating from December 4 to 14 and will be open from 6:00 am to 12:00 mn. It is equipped with adequate facilities and will provide communication services available to accredited broadcasters, journalists, and photographers for the 12TH ASEAN Summit.

• IMC Information Desk – General information on media programs, facilities and services, as well as comprehensive information on the official activities of the 12 th ASEAN Summit will be available at the IMC Information Desk by the entrance of the IMC.
• International Broadcast Center (IBC) – IBC facilities include the Main Control Room (MCR), The Production and Editing Room, Play-out facilities and the Booking Room. The Host Broadcaster, NBN, offers various broadcast services and facilities on a Rate Card basis and at the same time, will support live broadcasts and audio/video transmission by overseas broadcasters.
• Common Work Area – The Common Work Area is equipped with LAN access points and Wireless internet connections and provides one hundred twenty (120) common work desks for journalists, seventy (70) of them with internet capable computers. It will also serve as the Main Briefing Room when necessary.
• Briefing Rooms – There are two briefing rooms within the IMC: the Main Briefing room, which also serves as the Common Work Area and one smaller Briefing Room. Booking is on a first come, first served basis.
• Individual Media Booth – A limited number of Individual Print and Broadcasting Media Booths equipped with technical and office facilities are available at the IMC on a Rate Card basis.
• Telecommunication Services – Telephones and facsimiles with credit/prepaid calling card system for international calls are made available at the Telecommunication Business Center. In addition, assistance for communication requirements such as satellite uplink services will also be on hand.
• Photo Services – Official photos of this year’s summit and pre-summit conferences will be made available to domestic and international media by the Malacanang Photo, the official Host Photo Coverage team, via http://www.12thaseansummit.org.ph. The website offers free photo search and download features.
Pre-booking IMC Space and Facilities • Media organizations can rent individual booths at the IMC on a first come, first served basis.
• All media organizations wishing to book individual workspace in the IMC should make requests no later than 15 November 2006. |
